The Philadelphia 76ers have offered free agent Allen Iverson a one-year, non-guaranteed contract, according to a report from CSN Philly.

According to a source close to the negotiations between Allen Iverson and the Sixers, a deal has been tendered to Iverson.

It is a non-guaranteed contract, which appears to be the main obstacle keeping the two from reaching an agreement.

ESPN The Magazine’s Ric Bucher confirms the report.

The ball is now in Iverson’s court. If he accepts the offer, A.I. will likely begin playing Monday against the Nuggets, his former team. If he declines, a retirement seems imminent.

Iverson is expected to make a decision by Wednesday.
