1. Marv Albert had a run-in with 50 Cent’s entourage last week. Apparently the two parties were backstage at Jimmy Kimmel Live when all of the sudden a fight broke out. Albert had just one person with him, a public relations official from TNT, but Fitty had a whole crew. A few punches were thrown, according to the Los Angeles Times, but there were no serious injuries. No confirmation yet on the rumor that Fitty attacked Albert after confusing the 68-year-old for Ja Rule.

2. Brandon Jennings’ hot start has prompted ESPN to pick up the Bucks-Thunder game Friday. Meanwhile, Jordan Hill is averaging 6.8 minutes per game, and the Knicks’ television ratings are down 28 percent. Way to go, Donnie Walsh!

3. Henry Abbott of True Hoop outlines potential positive outcomes of Stephen Jackson in Charlotte. Seems like a stretch to me. Then again, the Bobcats were a borderline playoff team last season, and Jackson gives them a few qualities they didn’t have before. Ultimately, I’m curious to see how it works out, but I’m not holding my breath.

4. Kevin Durant finally has a blog! Too bad it consists of little more than an item-by-item description of what he likes to eat. Among his favorites: fried Oreos and pasta from Cheesecake Factory. He’s a complicated man, that Kevin Durant.

5. The NCAA ranks are filled with the sons of former NBA stars. Storming the Floor has stats for the most notable NBA progeny. Surprisingly, none of them are making much of an impact right now. Bring back Patrick Ewing Jr.!
