Fiending for Links, Featuring the End of Stan Van Gundy’s Negativity

1. Dwight Howard approached Stan Van Gundy (a.k.a. Ron Jeremy’s Illegitimate Twin Brother) earlier this week and asked the notoriously demanding coach to tone down the negativity. SVG took the criticism well. He sucker-punched Howard in the temple. Just kidding. (I confused SVG with Tom Cable for a second there.) Actually, Van Gundy took the advice to heart, promising his players that he’ll “change his tactics.” The concession worked. Orlando responded with an emphatic 108-94 victory over Oklahoma City.
2. Derrick Rose takes the concept of No Shave November way too far by refusing to cut his hair until his game returns to form.
3. Jeremy Shockey gets his Doubting Thomas on. The outspoken Saints TE doesn’t think LeBron James can cut it as an NFL player. His proof? LeBron’s “4.9 40 time.” C’mon, Jeremy. You know you can’t judge a player by his performance at combine.
4. A terrific oral history of Dirk Nowitzki’s time in Dallas. Reads like a television documentary. I mean that in the best way possible. This is a must read, whether you’re a Mavericks fan or not.
5. Listen to The No-Look Pass’ Chronicles of Crotty podcast Friday and enter to win a one-year subscription for the iPhone’s NBA Game Time App. It’s that easy. Make it happen, people.

Please, please, clear this up. So Stan Van Gundy is not Ron Jeremy?
