1. Marko Jaric and his outrageously hot wife, Adriana Lima, welcomed a baby girl into the world Wednesday, Valentina Lima-Jaric. Hopefully she turns out to be better looking than J.E. Skeets’ celebrity baby mashup.

2. The LeBron as football player hype is back. LeBron told NBC Sports that he could be “really good” at football if he “put all [his] time and commitment to it.” C’mon, LeBron. That’s like me saying I could be great at the pommel horse if I put my mind to it. Except I don’t have much athletic ability. Or millions of dollars to commit to training. Nevermind. It’s not the same at all.

3. Phil Jackson liked Pau Gasol’s appearance on “CSI:Miami” about as much as the rest of us. Which is to say, not at all. The Zen Master showed he has a sense of humor, even after this weekend, by jokingly blaming Gasol’s guest spot as the real reason for Gasol’s hamstring injury.

4. Barack Obama is keeping his eye on Michael Beasley. The pres reportedly asked teammate Dwyane Wade to “stay on [Beasley] and lead him in the right direction” during a recent conversation. And here I thought the leader of the free world had more important things to do…

5. Speaking of Dwyane Wade, he let his soul glow over the Halloween weekend. Way to get in touch with your inner Darryl, D-Wade.
