Fiending for Links, Featuring Jeremy Tyler’s Struggle Overseas

Jeremy Tyler.

1. Jeremy Tyler, the highly regarded prep star who skipped his senior season to play abroad, is miserable in Israel. The 6-foot, 11-inch phenom is clashing with his coach and has failed to connect with any of his teammates. Handlers and family members are blaming different sources, but it seems like the kid is just too immature to adjust to his new environment. It’s a shame. Had this gone well, Tyler could have been the first pick overall in 2010.

2. Tracy McGrady announced Monday that he’ll be returning to action November 18, much earlier than anticipated. Fantasy fans, manage your waiver wires accordingly.

3. J.A. Adande examines the relationship between Allen Iverson and Grizzlies owner Michael Heisley, and wonders if This Is It for Iverson’s career. A terrific analysis, as always, by Adande. It’s the definitive take on Iverson’s recent hiatus.

4. Guest posting for Ball Don’t Lie, Ben York makes a case for the legitimacy of the Phoenix Suns. Though I’m worried about the fatigue factor with the Suns, it’s impossible to deny the quality of wins against Boston, Miami and Washington. Phoenix is playing great basketball. They deserve the praise they’re getting.

5. Michael Beasley sports a killer afro.
