Basketball Fiend

1. Sasha Vujacic is reportedly dating tennis hottie Maria Sharapova, giving the Lakers yet another tabloid-worthy couple. Jerry Buss should just give up and change the name of his franchise to the Los Angeles Young and the Restless.

2. Tim Donaghy is out of jail and looking for a marketing gig.

3. Derrick Rose wants to be a movie star when his NBA career is over. In my opinion, this can go one of three ways: 1) Kazaam II, 2) Space Jam II, or 3) a DMX-like film career that allows him to work with Steven Seagal, Jet Li and Jim Belushi. I’m rooting for option #3.

4. Danny Granger takes heat for leaving without talking to the media Tuesday night.

5. The Sports Section tells tales of Nets owner-to-be Mikhail Prokhorov; tall, awesome tales filled with excess and alcohol. Hopefully The Russian doesn’t get buyer’s remorse and back out of the deal. I want to read stories about him partying with Jay-Z, LeBron and Yi next season.
