Video: LeBron Blocks Rajon Rondo With Authority
In honor of Marv Albert, I’ve decided to put “with authority” behind statements that deserve particular emphasis. It’s a phrase that makes things sound better. Like, you know, “LeBron comes from behind and, oh boy, he pins Rondo’s shot to the glass WITH AUTHORITY.” That just sounds better, right?
With authority isn’t confined to basketball situations though. It has other applications. Paper routes, for example. The paper boy rocks back and fires one at the front porch and it’s on the doorstep WITH AUTHORITY. And cafeterias. The trey approaches, this is it folks, the lunch lady’s got the scoop, and she throws down a delicious serving of mashed potatoes WITH AUTHORITY. If you haven’t welcomed “with authority” into your life yet, I strongly recommend it. Conversations just aren’t the same without it.
Oh, and that block from LeBron was pretty great too. If he keeps pace, Dwight Howard may have some competition for Defensive Player of the Year.

Wow, those Knicks really do rock. I see a good year coming up, just a few improvements and we’re a contender!
