1. The odds makers have spoken! Bodog has set odds for the 2009-10 NBA season and they’re pretty much what I expected them to be. The Lakers are a 2:1 favorite to win the title. LeBron James is an 11:4 favorite to win MVP. And Blake Griffin is a 5:6 favorite to win Rookie of the Year. My favorite bet, though, is Allen Iverson’s over/under for assists. 4.6 per game? On the Grizzlies? C’mon! (Quickly betting the under.)
2. Dwight Howard is the Bomb.com. How can a site with such a great name have such poor execution?
3. Sactown Royalty takes readers on a tour of the various bandwagons in the Sacramento fan-o-sphere. I’m partial to the Tyreke Evans bandwagon, which, coincidentally, I’m driving. As for the others, I’ll just say is this: I hope the Desmond Mason bandwagon runs out of gas soon.
4. Charles Barkley wants his “chance to fail” just like everybody else. No, not as a dietitian! As a GM. If Chris Wallace’s recent track record is any indication, Sir Charles may get his opportunity sooner rather than later.
5. Who are the ten players most likely to be moved before the trade deadline? Sir Charles in Charge has some educated guesses.
