LeBron James dunking.

1. SLAM Online names LeBron James the best player in the League to cap its “definitive” top 50 countdown. Not much of a surprise when you consider LeBron won MVP last season, but an honor nonetheless. In other LeBron-related news, King James is acting as adviser for young Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor.

2. LaMarcus Aldridge and the Portland Trailblazers agreed to a five-year extension Thursday. The deal is rumored to be in the range of $70 million. Bethlehem Shoals thinks it’s important for the Blazers to keep Aldridge in the fold, regardless of his production last season.

3. Derrick Rose’s 21st birthday party on Saturday is going to be off the hook. Guest list includes Vince Vaughn and Jeremy Piven, and party promoters are scouring craigslist to ensure the hottest models are in attendance, according to Basketballawful.

4. The Orlando Sentinel wants your opinion. What should Dwight Howard do to improve his free throw shooting? Yes, one of the options is “picture the crowd naked.” No, I don’t think they’re being serious.

5. LeBron really, really, really wants to dunk on George W. Bush.
