November 7, 2008 - Who's the Boss?
Now that Obama is president does that mean that the Bears will be permitted secret deals that will make them dominant for years to come? I think so.
Speaking of secret deals, here are your pickups for Week 10:
1.
The Boss Man
Let's be real. People always need help at TE. It just happens. So let's take a look at NY's Kevin Boss.
You remember Boss from last year's playoff run, but he's put together back-to-back weeks with a TD and 30+ yards.
Looking forward, the schedule doesn't look too friendly. But that isn't going to stop Eli Manning from throwing the ball. Boss won't always reach the end zone. But he will get looks in the red zone; which makes him a candidate for at least a few more TDs this season.
2.
Rice Rocket
Ray Rice of the Ravens looked solid last week against Cleveland (21 rushes for 154 yards). Although that sounds awesome, Willis McGahee should be returning this week; which will spell doom for Rice's numbers.
Luckily for you, I think Rice deserves a fantasy roster spot. As the season moves on it's very realistic to see the Ravens move forward with the young guy (Rice) and let the vet (McGahee) play the reserve roll.
Willis will come back and play mediocre for two weeks. So pick up Rice and watch him earn his touches as you enter the fantasy postseason.
3. Turn to the Chiefs?
Should we count Kansas City's players out yet?
Tyler Thigpen doesn't deserve much respect yet he's put a couple of good games together and isn't turning the ball over. With that in mind, Mark Bradley (the Bears' 2005 second round pick) deserves a shot. The KC receiver has only 53.5 yards on 4.5 catches per game in the last two games but he has made it into the end zone once. The Chiefs face a porous San Diego secondary this week. So don't be surprised if you notice Bradley has 65 yards and a touchdown come Monday.
Alright folks, I know a lot has been going on recently, but let's not lose our focus. Fantasy football is the most important thing in your life right now. Remember that. Oh, and good luck.
